week four - day one

It dawned on me today (because I'm sharp like!) that by the end of the week my training for Cardiff will be one-quarter complete (25% if you prefer). How it's flown! Before I know it, it'll all be over and I'll be facing a cold winter preparing for London 2007.

Such were my musings as I shuffled the proscribed 4 miles from where I'd started (31:38 earlier) back to where I finished?!

My specific musical highlight was the Soup Dragons (which I hadn't heard for about 10 years!) and generally the return of Chris Moyles to do his own 'international' show - lazy toad!

Hey!

I don't know if this is a personall blog you don't really want people reading because it only about you're jogging but just incase it isn't i'll leave a comment.

I went jogging the other day. Got up at 5.30 and left at 6.15. I jogged to Victoria Park and back.

I must say it nearlly killed me. It was my first jog for months so i needed a practice run. I had to stop a few times on the way there. But on my way back i listened to my MP3, which was good because it kept my mind of the jogging and on the music, jogging on the way back was much better.

A few middle age men and women took over me with a smile on there face. They were probably thinking " i must be 3 times your age and im overtaking you......what has the world come to"

Its been a great week for me. Everyday i've been cycling and i went for a nice jog on monday. It will take me months, probably years before i get as good as you.

I've just made a post for my blog on your comments link. lol

Keep it up. I don't know if i will :0)

well this is my face after a jog :0p

comments are always welcomed - this is blogland - freedom of speech blossoms!

i just figured it would be a good way to keep tabs on what i'm getting up to - running-wise. i also do a lot of thinking as i shuffle around, so i may also stick some of that down at times.

i'm impressed to hear about your victoria park venture - most commendable. i wouldn't worry about those who passed you, they were probably wishing they were as young as you!

maybe we can go for a run sometime, but as i 'commented' to keeley i'd be happy going for a cycle as well.

how's the kids club going?

Hey again!

Kids club is going great, Emma is doing a superb job. We just got back from the Museum of Doclands, believe me, you don't need to go jogging in the morning if you work there. Its all stairs, stairs, stairs!

I'll be up for a run or cycle any time, don't know if i could keep up with you though lol. You will have to hold back lol.

I woke up an hour late today and yesterday so didn't have time to go jogging but i took my bike on a venture to Victoria Park instead.

For some reason im into getting fit this summer. So far it's going well, every morning before summer club i have either gone jogging or cycling. I'll try and keep it up.

How's life at Stratford going?

i read that you guys are doing a kids club! how's that?

glad to here the kids club/fitness drive is going well.

our kids club is in partnership with another local church - which is just as well as there aren;t many of us salvationist types in stratford! the club has been going well, with the 40-50 kids seeming to enjoy themselves (they've been coming back anyway?!). it's only for the week, so tomorrow is our last day - which'll be nice!

then we have a week to prepare for a kids sportsweek down in hastings that we're involved in.

who needs to run to keep fit?!
